My hard drive packed up on Thursday and I have had a replacement fitted. Consequently, I have had to re-install everything. I have a problem importing my favourites to IE7. I exported the favourites, successfully, on my laptop to a memory card and also to a USB stick. However, when I try import them on my desktop I get the message "Not a valid bookmark file." I had previously exported my favourites to my external usb drive with the same message when I tried to import them from the dsrive.
Can anyone help, please?

The Favourites are simply shortcuts files in the Favourites folder when stored. Copying then content of the old Favourites folder to the new one in your user profile is all that's needed. I personally don't bother with export/import.

From memory, export puts them into a file with extension .htm. You could check that that is what your file has.
