Getting old newsgroup emails in Thunderbird - Focusless

I have one subscription to a (work) newsgroup in Thunderbird, contain our weekly reports. At the moment it's only showing reports going back to May last year, but I want to see older ones. I've tried unsubscribing and subscribing, and I can't see a setting that limits how many it shows (there's just one for 'ask before downloading more than X emails').

Any ideas?

The newsgroup server you are attaching to doesn't archive that far back?

Don't know - I'm assuming it does. I'm talking to our IT at the moment as a last resort...

IT came up trumps - had to delete some files in ~/.thunderbird and I can now go back to 2002.
