There is a news site I look at which has started streaming using Silverlight.

By default Silverlight will allow any Tom, Dick or Harry to stream to your machine if you have it installed and regardless as to the permissions set on the machine you cannot currently edit the whitelist until you first allow a site, then remove it manually via the permissions in the add-ons of your Browser.

For example in IE8, it installs with a whitelist of "*".
