Messaging on iPhone 4. - R.P.

I hate predictive text writing - is it possible to turn it off ? Nothing in the 120 page manual !

Not without jailbreaking the phone. But don't forget it learns, so if it gets it wrong, hit the little cross on the word, put in the word you wanted and that word goes up the priority list for next time. After a bit it gets much better.

Or download one of the free apps like Dragon that let you dictate what you want and it turns it into a text, or an email, or whatever. Pretty good for free.

Would it help switching the autocorrection off ?

Settings > General > Keyboard > Auto-Correction > OFF
