 Galaxy Tab 2 - sooty123
I've dug out an old galaxy tab 2.0, it's on android 4.2.2, I can't open the play store as the browser is unsupported. the browser open some web pages but not all. I've tried downloading a new browser but nothing has worked.

Is there a way to get it so it can have a newer browser and use the play store ?

Possibly,

You are going to need to "root" it (essentially break open the rom boot strap) and load custom firmwear.

Done similar on a few tablets, you need to load some stuff on your PC (Windows PC) in stages, and follow the instructions. Sometimes it works sometimes it dont, at worse you end up with the tablet "bricked"
