 Kindle conundrum - neiltoo
An inconsequential question, but interesting.

I view my kindle library on my tablet, and much less frequently my laptop.

Occasionally, a line will be underlined with a faint dotted line.

Anyone know why?

..."popular highlights" ?

Thanks.

They do seem very random for "popular highlights".
 Kindle conundrum - tyrednemotional
...well, they might be something else, but if you turn them off in the settings and they disappear, I think you can probably believe it...

Well,

Kindle on the laptop doesn't have a settings button.

On the Tablet, there is. settings opens up, and popular highlights opens a list of - presumeably, highlights in that book. No way to turn off.

Obviously, that forum only shows for a Kindle instument.

Only an idle inquiry!

Thanks

..on my tablet version, with a book open tap the middle of the screen to get a menu, then the Aa option, in there under "More" you can turn the "popular highlights" on and off.

Brilliant!

Why can't they use a recognised symbol for settings?

A cog is fairly common these days

or three lines or 5 lines or a logo. Thats if they call it settings, it may be preferences.

...the Aa is not a "popular highlight" with you, then?..... ;-)

That would take a major shift in this case

Don't lower the tone when a man's on his uppers. That's a capital offence. You'll be getting a letter.

It's at No.6 I think. Or was it No. 10?

Lambert and Butler are already there, and Benson and Hedges are on their way.
