I signed up for a new eBay account but only used it to browse pro tem. This produced an email from them saying “We noticed sign-in activity on your account…approximate location Barnet Greater London…if this wasn’t you, change your password immediately”.
I did, with the same result. There seemed no point in trying a third time, especially since I live in Poole, Dorset but have other posters encountered this problem?

Its of no consequence, just Ebay trying to be careful and inform you of a log in. They got Barnet because its probably your ISP's server home location.
dont worry about it, you need to do nothing.

We get that logging in at work. Two factor authentication means yo get a message on your mobile Did you just try to sign in' and giving a location. Occasionally its Northampton but other times its randomly around Knowsley, Warrington or Wrexham.
