 Encrypt/Decrypt Files in Windows 10 - Ambo
The correct procedure fails before it can work. Window by window, I right click on the file/select Properties/select Advanced/would click Encrypt contents but the box is whited out. Otherwise I wold have continued to OK/Apply.

How can I make this work please? I guess I would decrypt by a similar process.

"How to Fix "Encrypt Contents to Secure Data" Greyed Out in Windows 10"

You'll find much information. I don't think you'll like it though and if ti is a major issue then perhaps stick it on the list for your visiting IT guy next time he's around.

In fact not, but when you've screwed them up as much and as often as I have then you gain a level of familiarity with the solutions.

There are several here who know much more than I do.
