Last night watched a very old episode of a science programme on uTube, this morning I've received an invite on my phone from Amazon to buy the box set of the same programme.

Are the two sites linked?

YouTube is owned by Google - in turn Google's advertising follows what you've been doing on various websites and offers suggestions for purchases etc.

This is most likely the reason for you receiving the invitation.

You can edit your Google Advertising Preferences on its website.

Google threatened to remove YouTube from the Amazon Fire products because Amazon was not listing Google products, they have kissed and made up and are clearly cooperatiing.
