 Google Ads and TMobile Hotspots on Virgin Trains - rtj70
Getting some interesting ads at the moment including some in German to win an Apple Macbook Pro. Lots of European ones. It's clearly related to using a TMobile wifi hotspot on a Virgin Train to London from Manchester. But you'd think T-Mobile was using network infrastructure in the UK. I wonder if I've got a 'German' IP address range... means I won't be able to use iPlayer.

Anyone else notice clicking on an advert open in the existing window. Not that I intend clicking on many.

i wouldn't have thought Iplayer would work very well on a Virgin Train would be interesting to see though if you had enough bandwidth.

Have you traced your IP address to see if it is German? Oh well no Iplayer but at least you can catch up with all them german soaps now!

T-Mobile are (or were) owned by Deutsche Telekom. You're probably getting proxied all the way to the Fatherland!
