Deleting Email Account in Android - Bromptonaut
I have a Motorola G phone running Android 5.1.

As a result of some sharp practice by my ISP I've had to set up and pay for a domain so as to continue receiving email on an account I've had since 1999 and continued to use until recently. I've had to set up a new account, with different POP3 etc credentials which is working fine.

The old one however is constantly telling me it cannot sign in as the POP 3 server is no longer valid. Nothing on there is needed as everything is archived on my PC. Just want to delete it but bu**ered if I can work out how.

Anyone able to help?

Most Android phones I've used all you do to remove the account from the phone is press and hold your finger on the account name (e.g. hotmail) for a couple of seconds and then you get a list of options come up, one of which is usually 'Remove account' or similar. If this doesn't work then you may have to do a factory re-set.

Thanks and virtual beer to Stuart. It's no longer nagging and beeping 'cos it cannot sign in on wifi.
