 Kaspersky and Chrome - pete4344
As a long time user of the free version of Avast antivirus software, I decided to give the top rated Kaspersky Internet Security a go with their free trial.

Although Microsoft Edge works fine on my Windows 10 machine, Google Chrome has become unusable. Every web page takes at least 10 seconds to load, with a 'resolving host' message. I have scoured the internet for a fix, but have so far been unsuccessful.

Has anyone else had this problem with Kaspersky?

No but you could try using public DNS servers which may be quicker than your ISPs.

Those of Google are at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

(Assumes you know how to configure your network!)

Many thanks, Smokie. I didn't know how to do this, but found it on the internet. It is now vastly faster, although I'm not convinced it's quite as slick as Avast was! I'll give it a go for a bit then decide whether to pay for Kaspersky or revert to Avast.
