Any Apple experts out there?
Have an Apple TV box, an iPad second generation and a newly acquired iPad mini 2
We regularly use Airplay to stream images such as photographs from the iPad to the TV screen. No trouble. It is working fine.
On trying to do the same thing with the new iPad mini it only allows me to stream audio content to the TV. In fact it "sees" the TV as a speaker not a TV screen and it is a speaker icon other than a a TV icon I see on the iPad mini screen.
Any ideas?

As often happens just writing out the problem provides the solution.
It was clearly a software problem and since the two iPads has the latest versions of IOS the problem must lie with the Apple TV. software
One checking there was an outstanding update, which, now applied, has now sorted the problem.
