Hudl 2 charging problem - Skip

Any other Hudle 2 owners had problems charging it ? All was ok till last week when it wouldn't charge at all, the red charge light would come on and go off again in seconds so i carried out a re-boot as advised on-line. Also it seemed to be turning itself on when you switched the charger on. Now it charges, but not fully no matter how long you leave it on charge. Again, advice on Google says buy a new charger as the OE one is crap.

How long have you had it? Have you done the January update?

I think that it is just over a year old. I seem to remember it doing an upate, is there any way i can tell from the tablet if it was done ?

It was only launched in October 2014, so it won't be a year old yet.

Go to Settings - About Tablet

-Kernel Version - will have a date

Mine shows 6 jan 2015

- Build number also has a date embedded in the info 20150106. 154003

Strangely if you click on - hudl updates it shows as last updated on 03 January 2015 !

Sloppy management of software build control and dates? Zero will probably know more.

Mine was updated in january, from memor,y it required a manual intervention in response to a system message.
