A tab labelled 'Gadgetbox Search' has taken to appearing at the top of the page. I have tried removing it using some of the methods found by Googling, but it comes back.
Should I worry?
How can I remove it permanently?
Thanks in anticipation.

Yes, it's a browser hijacker by the sound of it.
Lots of advice can be found via Google.

There are essentially two steps;
1) Uninstall it from your computer.
I assume that you've done this using "Add or Remove Programs". You actually must actually uninstall it, otherwise it will simply restart every time you reboot your computer.
2) Reset your browser settings back to what they were.
If you tell me which browser you are using I can probably help you do that.

I have done - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs. I can't see it in there.

I am using Chrome 35 on Windows 7 (64 bit). My wife seems to use IE.
I have Googled 'Gadgetbox Search' and followed the various suggestions, but to no avail.

Is there an earlier restore point you can go back to?
Presuming of course your PC is set up to create automatic restore points.

I have had another Google and followed the link here:-

Fingers crossed, it may have done the trick!
Thanks for the advice.
