 Remove Security Essentials? - Dave
As this no longer supports XP, I've loaded free AVG. So do I now need to remove Essentials from the PC?

I removed it from control panel>add/remove programmes.

Thinking about this further, I actually prefer to uninstall stuff using the feature in CCleaner, followed by a registry scan (another feature in CCleaner) to remove old registry values that might have been left behind from the program removal.

Something that MS's default removal option doesn't do.
