Anybody have any good recommendations for a host for a WP sit? (Yes, I've googled and noted all the fond recommendations for affiliate links...)

Criteria are cheapness and reliability and user-friendliness. With an option for upgrading to something more expensive if it goes well.

Never had any bother and you can pick a domain name that suits,

I have used www.uk2.net/ for about the last 8 years. Any problems (only minor) have been easily resolved - the tech support seems good and responsive.

They are not the cheapest but the uptime has been all 9s! Does Wordpress need something special?
