 Monitoring internet usage. - L'escargot
I'm starting to look into changing my internet service provider, and it appears that I will need to know what maximum internet usage I will require. Could someone please recommend a free, and easy to use, internet usage monitor? My computer runs Windows 7. Thanks.

Who is your current ISP, they should have a historical record of your past usage you can peruse on line.

Virgin don't offer that, to save anyone's time faffing about in myvirginmedia.com. (I know L'es has a different ISP).

.....and Talk Talk - I'm on 9.47Gb for September, so far, having just looked.
Download is "unlimited", subject I guess, to a "fair use" policy.

We appear to have used about 50GB so far in September.

How do you know Rob? I think you use Virgin, so are you using a third party product to measure (recommendation welcome) or is there in fact a way of finding out from Virgin themselves? (Or perhaps you're just looking at the router logs?)

No I use BT these days. You can check usage online. No point installing software because there are too many devices using the Internet.
