 Channel 4OD buffering problem - sherlock47
Any ideas for the following?

Watching Secret State on 4OD
Firefox 16.0.1 shows no adverts before progrqm, and skips adverts at the advert break time. However it suffers from buffering for 10 seconds every 4 minutes or so.

On Chrome 23.0.1271.64m 23 minutes of adverts before the program starts and all advert breaks have adverts in them No buffering in the first 20 minutes.

Is it as simple as different servers providing the streams or something about the behaviour of the browsers?

Dunno, but in my Chrome (23.0.1271.91 m) I don't get the adverts, beginning or breaks.

The 4oD Cookies Policy does refer to advertising a few times eg. "Working out when to show you advertisements on 4oD so that you don't get shown too many". Might be something to do with that?

Thanks for that idea - I meant to say 2 to 3 minutes not 23 minutes. That is what happens when you post in the middle of the night!
I must make sure I keep away from bank site and Ebay at 03.00 :)
