been messing around with a slide show and I've now created it into an .exe that I want to put on DVD, and run automatically when the DVD is inserted.
I'm going to research on t'internet but a quick Google indicates millions of hits. Does anyone have any recommendations of where to start?

How autoplay worked on Windows originally was to have an AutoRun.inf file containing the action etc you wanted to happen on insertion of the media.
msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/windows/desktop/cc144200(v=vs.85).aspx
But be aware that many people will have this turned off because it was an easy way for viruses to spread.
If you look at a typical disk that autoruns you'll probably figure out what you need quite quickly.

Yeah, should've looked a bit harder before posting here, it's dead easy - as you say, just needed an autorun.inf in the root folder pointing at the .exe, as follows:
[autorun]
open=2012.exe
Still get that screen asking whether you want to ruin it, on Windows 7 at least. I don't think I can bypass that, it's a system dependent thing.
