 Apple iPhone 4 - erasing data. - R.P.
Sold my phone and got it unlocked by 02 - now I need to erase the data - I know what to do - but it asks for a pass-code....never had one....any ideas ?

Its the passcode you use to unlock your iphone after standby

If you never had one its all zeros or nothing.

Ok put a pin on the phone, settings/general/passcode lock

That should be the password. If its not then put the phone into sleep, and then try and use the wrong passcode 10 times when it wakes up, and it will then erase everythng on the phone.

Thanks Zero had considered that as the Nuclear Option - now updating its software and reseting it via iTunes....hopefully that will sort it. It's going to a geeky youth so he should be able to sort it....
