A lot of websites tell me an update to my Flash player is required and they all give a link to get the latest version. I've tried installing the latest version (as per thread title) several times and each time I get a message that the installation was successful. Nevertheless and notwithstanding, the aforementioned lot of websites still keep telling me an update is required.
What am I doing wrong?
If it's of any relevance, Flash says I have 64-bit Internet Explorer but "About Internet Explorer" says I have Cipher Strength: 256-bit. (All that is double Dutch to me! Please be gentle with me!)
My computer runs IE9 and Windows 7.

Can you give an example of one of the websites?

It looks like I jumped the gun by asking for assistance. I've solved the problem by enabling some Add-ons, namely Shockwave Flash Object and Java Plug-In SSV Helper and Java Plug-In 2 SSV Helper. I just hope that enabling the latter two doesn't make a previous problem return ~ see my thread regarding ssvagent.exe Sat 21 July 12 16:11.
