 Multi-Hop Cycle Detected - Duncan
When I try to get into Yahoo Mail, I get the message "Your request is prohibited because it would cause a cycle".

The tab at the top of the screen says "Multi-hop cycle detected"

What does it mean? I have cleared the browsing data which includes cookies.
Spanner - Tools - clear browsing data.

I am still getting the same message, any ideas please?

This may help. tinyurl.com/ccu697e Alternatively, if you google for "multi-hop cycle detected" you'll find lots of hits.

Yes, I did that. The references seem to be aimed at people using Firefox. I am not, I am using Google Chrome.

Fixed it! - I think?

After trying various links, both in the post above and from my own searches, I discovered that I could Google "Yahoo Mail UK" which took me to the log-in page and then I could access my email.

I deleted the existing Yahoo bookmark, logged in manually and then bookmarked that.

Result.

Well done Duncan!

It's good to get answers on here but it's often very satisfying to find a work around yourself.
