Don't let IE9 update from Windows Update - Victorbox
Just a quick warning that the IE9 update being offered by Windows Update seems to be faulty at the moment: tinyurl.com/d7qa4l9
This is not good as I decided to update the main family PC only this week!
Basically even after you upgrade to IE9 Windows keeps telling you it's available as an update. Quite a techy article but the link near the bottom leads to another article with the solution. This is to uninstall the first IE9 (goes back to IE8) then download the March 2011 full install from Microsoft Download Centre, disconnect from the internet so it can't draw in the faulty update again and install once more. Only then will Windows stop telling you it's still an important update.

Just make sure you choose the correct IE9 either 32bit or 64bit to download.

Yep, 64bit, I'll check it out tomorrow Vic, as we're going to watch 2012 on Blu-ray right now.

Yes, yes, I know we've seen it already - but it is in Blu-ray this time :)
