dead e-book reader - Mike Hannon
A friend has given me a Sony PRS 505 'portable reader system'. It is, to all intents and purposes, brand new but was an unwanted gift at least three years ago and was only turned on a couple of times.
As a result, the battery now seems to have given up - it will say it is charged and then the device starts up, but it shows full discharge in a few seconds and switches off.
I don't think I have any future with it - it doesn't even work with Mac - but I'd like to know if it's possible to change the battery?

Yup, looks easy. Video instructions on you tube, batteries about 25 quid.

Thanks for that Z. Seems a shame to just write it off.
