The property buying threads on here seem popular. Just in case you have a spare wodge of cash and want to buy something in say, France, Spain or even China, this is a search site in case you win the lottery. Everything from 20k to 50 million and up...
Some of that expensive French stuff looks rather pleasant to me.
Anywhere you'd pick if you had to leave the UK?

Different world isn't it.
For under 7k I was tempted by this as a holiday place. But not enough to actually go for it of course.

But the outside of it is CGI rendered - why not show what it really looks like?

Because it's a patch of sand? :)

I didn't read any of the text... but I did think it hadn't been built. So why show the inside which look more realistic? They aren't the real pictures either.

I've said on here before we'd like to end up living somewhere like Greece. But not until they sort the mess out which will be some time. We've also never ruled out Italy or some other countries.
But looking at some properties in France recently you get more for your money than in Greece. Greek property is looking expensive and very over-priced (still). I assume people think they have to hold out for the prices they are currently marketed at because what they paid for them etc.

My gut reaction would be to say Italy, economic problems notwithstanding. Been there many times both on business and on holiday, and it is one of the few places outside the UK I could actually see myself living happily (Australia would be the other, if it weren't so far from friends and family). Some friends of ours emigrated to the Trentino region 5 years ago, and have built a very contented, happy lifestyle there. It is also a very good country to raise children in, with great emphasis on family values, and a tied 2nd place (with Japan) in a 2011 child welfare study by Save The Children.
And the food. Oh, the food.... :-)

Yes we like Greece for similar reasons although child welfare not an issue anymore.
The food was very good where we stayed last year - near San Gimignano. But we had even better Italian food in Croatia last Sept/Oct!

Ooops I meant to say: WE LIKE ITALY above. We also like Greece of course.
