They've arrived early here in Sweden. I saw a convoy of english and Irish registered Range Rovers, X5's an X6 and a Shogun towing caravans along the motorway, heading for Stockholm (I hope). Didn't see any horses or dogs though.
Last year the Police issued warnings to the public about 'pavers' offering to lay drives and pathways, after complaints about poor workmanship, shortly followed by missing items - just a coincidence, you understand. It must be seventh heaven for them here, as there's so much stuff just laying around - ATV's, chainsaws, dogs, diggers etc.
They also took over a camp site, and the police were dumbfounded. They've never come across people that won't pay, won't leave, and dump rubbish. Of course, the 'pavers' didn't leave the rubbish themselves, other members of the public came and dumped the rubbish while they were there.

There is plenty more of them over here we'll send them over. :-)

Yes Dave; for many of us that's the reality of so-called gypsies. And it's too close to the truth to be really funny.
Personally I'd make the lefty apologists live with them and work for them for six months before they get a job on any council appeasement project.
And before anyone objects, I did just that back in the late 80's. Not one of the best parts of my life, but I got through it.
Only good thing that came of it is that I am now able to spot one a mile off, and call their bluff if they come a-calling. Vermin the lot of them.

Every summer, the German papers are full of warnings about "englische Teerkolonne", renowned for shoddy work, extortion and petty crime, not to mention illegal vehicles.
