 PayPoint Warning - Chris S
This morning I paid a bill using PayPoint at an outlet in the south Birmingham area.

The sales assistant tried to keep the receipt (I had dark circles around my eyes so maybe he thought I was stoned).

If I'd had let him do this he could have voided the payment and kept the money for himself.

Be on your guard in case somebody tries to do the same sort of thing to you.
 PayPoint Warning - Dave_
I pay my water, gas and electric by PayPoint (it would be more, but all the other bills offer online payment - these three do not). I was told specifically with the two fuels to stick to the same shop, as there was more chance of the meter not recognising the card if it had been topped up somewhere different(?). I've used four or five different outlets over the past couple of years and the meter has accepted the cards all the time.

Staff competence at using the machine in the shops, however, varies greatly. It doesn't surprise me that you had a cashier attempt to keep your receipt, it's just as likely to have been through incompetence as malicious intent.
