My PAYG dongle, which has been acting up, finally gave up the ghost.
Took it into the Vodafone shop in Durham City who swapped the SIM card and tinkered with the account to ensure I keep the same non-time critical data expiry tariff.
The dongle's three or four years old, so well out of warranty.
No charge for fixing it.
Very reasonable, I'd have been inclined to charge me a few pounds.

I've been with Voda for ever and not felt the need to change. The other day I was getting nowhere, on line, changing handsets and contracts; went into a shop and they made me up a new SIM card while I waited! Sorted
