I regularly watch television programmes about WWII so that I can understand what my parent's generation had to endure.

i seem to recall reading a book about the great war years ago and in it were
pictures of a piece of ground with bayonets protruding out of the earth
apparently the soldiers were still attached to them but obviously buried alive
and i think it was concidered a grave site
