"The engine ... is relatively quiet"
Hahahahahahahahaha. That model's engine sounds like a skeleton pleasuring itself inside a filing cabinet (with apologies to J. Clarkson).

I've done too many miles behind the steering wheel of one of those things (Bulford to Sennelager and back) for the concept to appeal to me.

A few on the rally circuit around the NorthWest.
A couple of the ' military ' lads have K2 ambulances fitted out but original from the outside.
Another regular has a large flat back, maybe a 60s Atkinson with a huge T&G wooden box taking up most of the deck. It's made to look like it's holding a large piece of machinery but when you take the back of the tarpaulin off there's a door to quite adequate living quarters.
Ideal both as exhibits and somewhere to stay on the rally field. I have to take me caravan and the Jowett won't pull the current one !

This is one of the nicest I've ever seen Ted; based not far from me.

Living caravan is concealed under the "load".

Very similar H. I think our man left the last 8 feet of the flatbed to form a sort of verandah to sit out on with a bottle and fag on a Summer's evening.
