 Oscar Nominations - CGNorwich
www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-16700124

Only seen two of the best film nominations - THe Artist and Hugo. Pretty sure the Artist is going to walkaway with a whole armful of awards though. Great story, great acting, beautifully shot. Was a bit dubious about going to see a silent film in black and white but completely justified by the storyline. A classic

The Descendants - George Clooney should be a certainty for best actor - motoring connection - he drives a Honda Civic
 Oscar Nominations - Zero
Poor list of Best Actress, M Streep should walk that.

She certainly looks good in the clips I have seen. Will watch it on DVD but dementia and growing old don't initially grab me as good night out so haven't paid to see it .

Warhorse is doing good trade - Fully booked on Friday night when I tried to get tickets online.

For an amusing review of The Artist see

 Oscar Nominations - Armel Coussine
Yes, they are gorgeous, Crocks.

Better looking than Miss Rita Chevrolet, and they made a better noise too...
 Oscar Nominations - Dutchie
Went to see the film the girl with the dragon tattoo.

Excellent.
 Oscar Nominations - Zero
Dutchie, the real one, the Danish one (with subtitles) is MUCH better.
 Oscar Nominations - Dutchie
I didn't know there was a Danish version Zero.

I will get the DVD if available.
 Oscar Nominations - Robin O'Reliant
If 'Arry Redknapp manges to beat his tax evasion rap I'll nominate him.

The bloke is so crooked none of the pictures on his wall hang straight

Crocks and I are the only people who belong here, in a motoring thread, NB! about Oscas.

Why don't the rest of you waddle off somewhere else with your inconsequential chatter about schlock movies and unknown so-called actors and actresses?

Eh? Eh? Go on, get out of it. Pollute your own category.

Did you see that couple on the Telly tonight who won 40 million pound AC?

The lady said she would buy a new stair carpet.

Chelsea would have got more value from their money if they'd spent the £50 million they eventually paid for Torres on a stair carpet instead.

He should have stayed at Liverpool, perhaps Carrol would have done better @ Chelski.

Son worships at Anfield but tells me joke is about a midfielder passing to Carrol being booked:

For timewasting.
