I thought they were all over the country. Have two here in Norwich. Get yourself a catalogue. Almost as good reading as the Clas Ohlson catalogue.

Cheaper than B&Q. And owned by them aren't they?
There is a santa - CGNorwich
Both B and Q and Screwfix owned by Kingfisher Group

That's mere walking distance for you, isn't it?
Mind you, you might have a lot of heavy shopping to carry home....so best take the car, just in case.

Yeah probs best. Whats more, he might get a fare on the way back too....

I'll, um take the dog out now...

How's the dog progressing ?

I've never paid any attention to where the real stores actually are - I thought they only existed on-line.

Useful store, but IMO they lost something many years ago when they metamorphosed from The Woodcrew Supply Company. In the old days they sold every single size of proper slotted head woodscrew, in steel, brass, bronze or stainless, in bargain gross boxes.

Not really a shop to browse. A catalogue operation a bit like Argos

The fact its walking and not in the car is your answer. Cant understand why he didn't go for the brown leather option....

I'd rather have a Toolstation (founded by the guys who sold Screwfix to B&Q), but hey, better than having to go to B&Q.

Our Santa used to arrive on the 5th of December. The previous night we had to leave our shoes or slippers and a chocolate letter with our name was put next to the shoe. Also the present where next to it.I used to have a collection of dinky toys my dad used to buy them for me from the UK.I wish i had kept them.Card board models they don't sell them anymore in Holland (Bouwkarton) You had to cut the shape out and on scale I made ships Pasenger vessels Coasters and the like.

Life was a lot simpler in those days Dutchie.

Father to son, "In my day son all we got for christmas was an apple and orange."
Son to father, "You were lucky all I'm getting is a laptop."
There is a santa - Dutchie
Some truth in that Fullchat the apple and orange might be more appreciated.

>Father to son, "In my day son all we got for christmas was an apple and orange."

When I was a nipper my dad was a volunteer fireman. Every Christmas the firestation held an open day for local kids where we were given an apple, orange, a shiny thrupenny bit and a toy we had to dig out of a barrel full of sawdust.

None of us kids were interested in the gifts. All we wanted to do was climb all over the engines and 'help' the crew polish up the brasswork.

They are a Swedish hardware company, very big in Skandinavia. Sell all sorts of stuff from chain saws to fishing lures. Not bargain basement but reasonable prices and all their stuff is guaranteed. Being Swedish they tend to sell a lot of stuff you don't usually see in the UK and their own brand stuff is very good. bought a bench grinder there a few weeks back.

The Kingston branch had some upmarket sledges for kids.
Like this. A bit more advanced than our DIY of old.
Fitted with a feet brake but no ABS

We have Sinterklaas here on the 6th Dec.
The first year my daughter found out about it a couple of years ago she put sticks in my motorbike boots. First I knew of it was when I tried to put the boots on and one of the sticks ran up my calf.
Apparently I'd been naughty :-)

There's a whole bunch of Clas Ohlson type shops here. Harald Nyborg, Jula, Biltema, to name but three. They all sell the same stuff, usually chinese junk, but painted different colours.
