At the bottom? Not sure I'd want to stand that close.

She said: “I've always enjoyed spicy foods and thought this was for a good cause. But it came with a price, I had to be taken to the ERI twice.

“I first went to hospital at around 4pm and the second time was at 9pm. It got really bad. I have never endured such pain in my life.”

I presume at 4pm for abdominal pain, and at 9pm for ice suppositories.

Idiots.
I was born in Bradford and know a bit about curries.
Despite living in rural N Yorks I still have a BD postcode, eat a decent quality curry at least once a week, and anyone participating in this has no sympathy from me whatsoever.

A bit harsh. Quite a funny story really and it was a charity event. Perhaps a bit misguided but I guess we've all done something stupid we come to regret!

People seem to have a wildly varying ability to cope with chillies. I grow a variety called "apache" and find just one is enough to make a pretty fiery dish. Had a mate around a few weeks back who ate three raw chillies straight off the plant!

Sorry this quote is from the lower end of the newspaper Range! These peppers are grown near me and I have bought a small jar of the paste but have no idea how to use something this hot in a sensible meal. Not much of it would be a good start I think

I was going to ask 'what is the point', but the answer's in the article:

"The variety out-scorches its nearest rival, which is so hot it is used in mob-control grenades by the Indian Army."
