Why? Because you don't like Russell Brand and therefore think he shouldn't be allowed to travel?

Something like that ! Just needs his ego pricked.

Actually for all his silliness at times Brand is an intelligent and thoughtful person who can talk a lot of sense and writes rather well.
For example his article on the recent riots was one of the more perceptive that I have seen.

I think a lot of young folk who have acquired a criminal record for anti social behaviour and petty crime will have this problem when they want to take their kids to Disneyland or holidays to the USA or Canada a few years down the line. NZ and Australia can be fussy about who they let in too.
No sympathy from me, a pity our country couldn't care less who they let in, (or stay).

Perhaps some credit is due though for turning his life around - reading his autobiography you might have predicted he'd be dead by now based on his earlier years. As CGN said he's quite intelligent, and definitely an acquired taste.

I like this Canadian: Stana Katic.

Brand is a good example of how someone with "difficulties" can turn their life around.
He does a splendid job of displaying British coolness and chic in the film forgetting Sarah Marshall
I like him.

He didn't plan his journey properly...and then it's the host country's fault?

I read the piece in the link that CG posted. If Brand wrote that and wrote it from the heart then more power to him. Celebs get the wider ear. We on here get us.
