what do you record on 'preventtive action logs' seems to me it could be anything
'stay at home incase nasa satelite falls on head' would be true, but has sod all to do with selling scanners and printers

I'll see if I can dust off my ISO9001 auditor notes (although that's 2000 version), but I would think it's a matter of working out what could screw up and so what to do to prevent it.

The trick with risk assessments is always to lay down a careful trail showing that you are making improvements.
So don't waste all the best ideas first go. Identify some obvious hazards, like carpet curling up, and note that there is a potential risk of tripping.
Action - nail down carpet.
It's no good removing all the risks, you have to keep a few small ones so that you can look pro-active identifying them and rectifying.
