I appreciate many (perhaps most) here won't be excited by vintage comedy, but I think this is still funny, and beautifully done. I think it could be redone today with the right comic. Rowan Atkinson perhaps?

Probably why I chose to live in Cornwall Pat (certainly not the weather!) Cornwall is full of rebels (and cranks!)

I like a lot of comedians, both modern and old. The word 'legend' is bandied around far too readily these days, but Ken Dodd is truly worthy of the epithet. Still going at 83, he is truly amazing. Bob Monkhouse was a very funny chap and extremely clever with it. I've a video called 'Bob Monkhouse Exposes Himself' and it is very different to his game-show image. Very funny indeed.
From the more modern crop, I really like Eddie Izzard, Sean Locke, Ross Noble, Izzy Suttie, Sarah Millican, Lucy Porter (absolutely gorgeous!) and Jimmy Carr. Dave Gorman is superb, a true story-teller. His 'Googlewhack Adventure' DVD is a delight.
My favourite comedian, though, has to be Tim Vine.

My favourite Tim Vine joke, largely for its brevity, must be
"Velcro? It's a rip off.".

I first saw Dave in a comedy pub in Manchester. It must have been 1993 at a guess but maybe 1994. Very funny (he did his tea spoon joke back then too)... sadly I heckled him when he was having a laugh at the expense of the Welsh a few times.
I also saw Johnny Vegas there a few times too. He was good too. He's now playing second fiddle to a knitted monkey - and probably loaded. He used to drink lots when on stage back then.

Dave Gorman was funny, seems to have lost the edge now...

Agree on that RP. At the time I was heckling, he used to write for Mrs Merton too.
