I have just been accessing the site
"Commitment to accessibility"
"We are committed to ensuring that the e-petitions website is usable and accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of disability, capability or technology. "
and "www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/ if you have a few hours to read it"
All very grand stuff but if two people share an email adress the second voter is rejected.
IMO that is lazy programming and does not support their grand statements.

Now there is a good idea :-)
only 99,999 voters wanted.

Ooh, as I own my own domain, I could have 100,000 email addresses and still see the validation email. (ie 1@my_domain.com, 2@my_domain.com etc)
Groovy!

True, but it gives the "disgusted of Tonbridge Wells' types an impression they have a say and costs virtually nothing to run. Ideal government scheme really. I bet the civil servant who dreamed it up has risen a few grades.

SWMBO is best kept away from such electronicy.
I will vote as a proxy and then call it a day.
IMO this is one of the important petitions as it could bring me more £££s
epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/1535
The email requesting me confirm my vote arrived in my spam basket.
Is this an omen? I hope not.
