Chain Reaction can be entertaining and/or enlightening, but this one was neither. After fifteen minutes of Simon Day fawning over Peter Hook I gave up and drove home in silence.

Never meet your heroes, they say - but better that than listen to someone else meeting his.

I've met him a couple of times. He was perfectly nice with me, but I am perhaps unfair to him in pubs, because I don't like the way he tries to become the new Mr Manchester since Tony Wilson died. He always seems to have to comment on anything related to Manchester.
