 Chilly isn't it? - Iffy
In the last few days I've been in Iffy Towers and at the caravan.

Blinkin' cold overnight.

I put some heat on for a few hours in both places.

My recall of weather conditions is poor, but I can't remember needing heat in July before.

It was down to 7 degrees here yesterday morning but this morning is sunny and a clear blue sky..how long will it last?

The grass is growing like mad and still needs mowing weekly, while the hedges have been cut twice alrady this year and need doing again.
The fish are still spawning in the pond trying to make up for those the grass snake ate I think, but frogs and froglets are everywhere.
I rarely see a slug or snail in the garden and that could explain it.

It's a 'different' year this year but I'm not sure which I prefer in the garden.

Great isn't it? All that hot and bone dry weather in the spring (in the east anyway) is being compensated for, thank god. Plenty of growth in the allotment, no more watering can madness. And today the air's coming from a north east direction, blowing all the biting insects away and making you feel alive. Tomorrow will be cooler down the east side from a Northerly according to the forecast. Perfect for a good run.

In the car, with the roof down. :)

Thanks for that link Meldrew, they look easy to use and handy too.

It's a fairly large pond, around 19'x12' and at least 4' 6'' deep, so it has three good sized pumps to serve the filter box, waterfall and another water feature, so oxygen isn't to much of a problem unless it's very hot weather.

It must be a very healthy, natural pond, otherwise Hissing Sid would have slithered on by.
