Ive done a couple of these, playing my wife a song, then asking her what image she has for the singer.
I literally made my wifes jaw drop with a clip of Jackie Evancho and Jonny Lang completely threw her. Ill dig out some clips if anyone hasnt heard of either.
Got any favorites? Its tougher than it sounds.

>>All of them?<<
Barry perhaps, Robin is quite a strange looking dude on a good day, but then their harmonies were pretty odd given how they looked.

The Jonny Lang clip I played for the wife. She got a 50 year old black blues singer from this. Doh.

Dowa this win a cookie for 2 singers in the one song?
Roy and kd.

James blunt.
Looks cool, sounds like a little girl with a sore throat.

Oh I dont know, with the right wig, he could well look like that girl...

I didn't realise she had lost all that weight. As for the voice you are right....shame.....you scowly faced git (o-:-o) x
|
Hey - I dont give many scowly faces, so I like to put my monika to them
ANd back to Allison, on the whole I don't much go for salad dodgers, but Alison Moyet was one sexy piece when she was a few pounds, with a voice to turn you to jelly.

clearly you dont understand Humph

Shame she was poor at singing her words properly. ' I go wee, wee in the presence of beauty' was not a great lyric.
My vote would be for Anastacia.

Oh yes, that reminds me, Joss Stone

That's a bit disturbing. It reminds me of another one. Jimmy Somerville.

Ottilie Patterson. Sounded like a black momma looked a slight Irish gal!
|
One from left-field for you; Don Estelle.
Ignore Windsor Davies' inane and pointless ramblings on "Whispering Grass"; Estelle's singing was on a par with the original Inkspots version, and if you ever get a chance to listen to some of his solo stuff, you'll realise as I did that his was a sadly wasted talent.
I can't help thinking that if "Britain's Got Talent" had been around when he was at his best, he'd have been a singing star rather than a not-very-funny little bloke in shorts.

Clifford T Ward (Home Thoughts From Abroad).

Wonderful song though.

Not a singer, but a broadcaster.
Tony Cozier, veteran commentator on West Indies cricket, sounds like a West Indian - a black man.
Except he's white:

I dunno Stuartii; Clifford T Ward looks exactly like you'd expect a singer/songwriter of that era to look IMO.
I do agree about the song though, one of the all-time greats from a man who was taken too soon. "The Best is yet to come" is my favourite.

Van Morrison - I thought he was black. Mind you, what should an overweight red-haired Irishman sound like?
