I've always had a great interest in Edith and her life.
I have several CDs.
Always a semi-tragic figure, her funeral was one of the biggest ever seen in France.
She rest in a well tended grave in Pere Lachaise....which I have visited.

She was dangerous to be around, many of her husbands and lovers died or were killed in crashes. Her final husband and toyboy, Theo Sarapo, managed to outlive her but was killed when his sportscar crashed some time later.
I'm very fond of this type of music.
