PU did you see the summit of Snowdon today? I know you're living on Anglesey now. Apparently it snowed this afternoon?!!?

It doesn't count as snow until it is deep enough to ski on. :-)
|
Had a hail shower this morning.
Flaming June, eh?
|
we had hail yesterday, on the southern lowlands.
|
Still chilly in Iffy Towers - got the heat on.
|
We had hail here on Wednesday.
|
Apparently Liverpool had ginormous hailstones the same day.
|
Earlier that day I'd put some washing out. Then glanced out and thought it dark... and then saw forked lightening hitting ground level... and then the bang. Dashed downstairs (via the cellar... nice detour) and got the washing in just in time.
Working from home has it's advantages. Although next project I start next week may involved trips to London. :-(

I was in the chicken coop that is the local CAB when this happened. My other 'alf says that when she came home from work the temp. gauge on her car was showing between 4 and 5 degrees at 3.00am this morning, it was 10.5 when I was on the way to "work" - it became very cold mid-morning. Sun's out now though, Snowdon is wearing its green jacket of summer grass and looks as summary as anything....

I hope it's not going to stay like it for long. We've planned another assault on the Miners' Track on Father's Day.
I'm writing this on my phone, sitting in the (metal roofed) warehouse at work being deafened by the biggest hailstorm I've seen in a couple of years. Had an inch of hail/rain in the last 10 minutes, lightning is only preceding the thunder by a second or two so pretty close by.

OK, it snowed near Sydney the day before I left Australia about 3 weeks ago, that made the front page of the local dailys!

I'm in an official drought zone, but no hosepipe ban because:
The reservoir is fed by water pumped from the river downstream of here.
The water passes through us and into the sewer to the sewerage works.
The sewerage works 'processes' the effluent and dumps it into the river.
The reservoir is fed by water pumped from the river downstream of here.
D'yer think I should move?
