Can anyone recommend a free asset management software package?

Something that will 'keep an eye' on a small share portfolio, perhaps some unit trusts and possibly a few other bits and pieces?

If you want something lightweight, Google spreadsheet, part of the Google docs suite is pretty good. The bit to be aware of is the GoogleFinance function which allows dragging in of market data available through google finance.

=GoogleFinance( "AAPL", "price" )

Although Google's finance website allows portfolio tracking if you want something simple rather than bespoke.
