is the technical section of the forum working , nothing posted for a few days . i havent got any problems , i just love reading through them .

Yep it's working fine. The reason there aren't 30 new topics a day is because this site isn't tied in to a national daily newspaper so the traffic isn't there yet. It'll come, give it time...

I like reading through them all as well, some of the queries are simple enough even for me to solve ;-)

thanks dave , i had noticed it was slow , but then it suddenly stopped . good buch on here so it should pick up soon .

Everyone's car must be working fine at the moment then!

Btw, if anyone knows of a fairly lenient MoT station near Leicester this week I'd be grateful for a few pointers... ;-)

I hate to say it as I have just spent nearly £7k on a car but my dads Fiesta worth around £300 is currently working perfectly. Ok the back seats need fixing but I can do that myself tomorrow but engine wise it is running perfectly.

My bush bike sadly ins't working so well but I haven't bothered to fix it yet.

I think this site is just really for ex members of the old site., In fact I have not made one on the old site since this became live!

PS does 'he' know about this place yet?

When I was a mobile car tuner, this was always a quiet period for car troubles after the winter breakdowns and non-starters, but then things would pick up again come Easter when people started using their cars for pleasure (remember that) and the contact breakers would close up due to a lack of lube, or they had forgotten to change the air filter intake from Winter 2 Summer :)

Most of us on here know 85% of what we need to know about our cars, so dont need help - when we do, we know the specialist forums to go to to get specific info. The other site is full of people who dont know a spark plug from a glow plug, hence there will be lots of questions there.

And a lot of people only signed up for that question and then left like we all had the plague. I stayed.

I signed up there to ask a question about why my Fiesta (diferent firsta) was smoking badly.

Well, at least 3 of the 4 moderators are signed up here, so it's a safe bet.

there is a terrible tendency for people to have an issue, problem or query and then not bother to research or try to find an answer, just post a basic question and demand help. Its not just cars or only on HJ. Its universal.
