Some people seem to have all the thyme in the world to do these things.

Takes a wise old sage to do that.

This was on another website a year ago, but with added students:

(contains swearing, lots of it) :)

EDIT: Just noticed, the first picture in the DM article comes from there...

The shoppers in most Asda's cant spell.

Asdas (!) :-)

>> Asdas (!) :-)

Does it make any difference that ASDA originated as a shortening of Associated Dairies??
Is this our pedant team in action? :-) - R.P.
No the plural of Asda is Asdas - making a lighthearted dig at Zero's apostrophe....

...making a lighthearted dig at Zero's apostrophe...

Is that the incorrect one in "Asda's", or the missing one in "cant"?

and also Northern Dairies before that!

Maybe... but at least they can count better than Tesco shoppers - as the basketful will be cheaper at Adsa.

Is it just me, or is Sainsbury's suddenly shockingly expensive? Went in for the first time in months last weekend. I normally do day-to-day shopping in Waitrose or Lidl, but needed a large basics shop and resented inter alia cat food at 15p per kilo more than the 99p in Tesco.

Or is this just inflation in action?
Is this our pedant team in action? :-) - Zero
cat food? 99p per kilo? ye gods

I pay £9.99 for 15kgs of dog food. A third cheaper!

I pay £45 per 15kg bag of dog food, and he is worth every penny of it.

Cheap dried pet food is causing CKD among other dis-eases.

You are reading far to many "alternative" views on the web. Bad Breeding causes congenital diseases. There are far to many cross breeds and bitzas leading very active and very long lives on regular cheaply priced dog food to prove anything otherwise.

Afraid you are paying way over the top.

£10 is too cheap, put yourself in Fifi's paws - would you eat it.

There is NO difference in any of the commercial dried dog foods, except price and name.

If you say so Mr Z, then you must be correct.

Fifi is now 12 years old. The Average life expectancy of a Labrador is 10 - 12 years. She has been feed on commercial dog food at the cheaper end of the scale all her life, and is currently fit and healthy.

The real secret to keeping dog healthy is keeping them lean and light. Excess weight is the real killer of dogs.

In reply to the paragraph above I have to confess that I think that the Gentleman is right. The food thing we will differ on.

I have colleagues who feed their Mutts...and not so Mutts, on food that they and their families eat.......and they eat well and the dogs do nicely thank you.

Its no problem doggie, you can carry on being ripped off, doesn't bother me.

Why should it bother you - you haven't got to eat it.
Is this our pedant team in action? :-) - Zero
Doesent bother me because I have a dog that was bred for working - not show, and is exercised and kept lean.

Seriously the food is not the killer - Its the breeders. Done my part - got my dog past the upper end of the life expectancy cycle.

That's the sort of statement that a cat finds baffling. They don't have to eat the stuff they are given either. If they don't like the food they just stalk out and go and live with someone else.

Do some detective work, and list the number of oil manufacturers,

As far as commercial dog food makes goes there are about 5.

For anyone who might be remotely interested, I feed my 10.5 year old Ridgeback Burns - burnspet.co.uk/

I got the price wrong (wife buys it) it's £36 per 15kg bag, it was developed by a Vet in that country that aren't over-fond of the English (pick just one)

I'm off to see Gods wife now, I recorded it last night.

Goodbye!

808: The BBC's Kevin Connolly in Benghazi says at the burned city courthouse which has become the HQ of the revolution, some of the offices are old cells with iron doors; the walls are bare brick; and someone's gone round correcting the spelling on English-language rebel posters.

From the BBC Website......
