No not car covers, or seat covers, but songs.
Three cover versions of Cry me a river, spread over 50 odd years.

Julie London's version without a doubt.
Sultry slow warm gentle and slightly melancholy, the perfect combination for the song with that sexy breathy voice.

Ditto, although I only discovered it after hearing this in the charts (1983):

which would be my choice of best cover.
I've got the Julie London version on 7" coloured vinyl somewhere.

She's got a stunning voice, London has it for me. I saw Moyet live last year with Jules Holland her voice is memorable as well.

Julie London again. Best voice coupled with the best incarnation of the song.
Michael Bubbly? Do me a favour!

I think I saw her on TV with Jools - voice hadn't changed much (still great) but appearance certainly had!

The original version by Julie London for the sultry quality of her voice. Prefer the Ella Fitzgerald version though.

Pug - You weren't at Audley End were you? Very short set from Ms Moyet bearing in mind tickets were sold as 'Jools Holland with Alison Moyet'. Mind you, filled my bags with all manner of freebies - about 6 jars of coffee, soups, yoghurts, Crabbes ginger beer and some other stuff. Plenty of producers clearly aiming to hook the middle classes on their goods!
