In short:
GT5 graphics in 1080p are superb as is blatting a Veyron around La Sarthe sans chicanes.
Likewise Playstation Move moves the Wii genre on a few steps with infinitely better graphics than Wii and great game play.
Though what really impresses me is that our PS3 is three years old (one of the original and subsequently sought after 60GB models) though via occasional updates it is totally contemporary in respect of new tech such as Move and the way it interacts with the new gen Bravia TV.

Impressive - saw my son's set up yesterday for the first time - 37 yrs old - only 30 yrs since the Spectrum was the star @ Xmas and Santa was the hero.
All works now but the new 320Gb PS3s have difficulties with IP addressing - you have to give it a fixed IP address ( say 192.168.0.10 rather than let it take 2/3 etc when auto attaching), you also need to add a Mac address + adjust the MTU to match the router setup.
The above tip will save any readers "many many happy hours" trying to resolve wireless connection issues reading countless Googles from fellow strugglers - without encryption the PS3 connects OK , with encryption it failed.
Why does Sony not state it up front instead of 10,000s of keen gamers struggling?
Older PS3's do not have the issue and connected OK without a problem.
