Has anyone noticed the sunset this afternoon? Fantastic!

Didn't see the sunset as still in the office, but did see something of the great British "fireball" last night. Pretty spectacular - thought it was a firework at first but realised it couldn't be from its angle.

I don't mean to sound like a grumpy old man but it would also have been low at this time of year - and a driving hazard!

Well you failed your primary objective in a spectacular manner.

I thought it was always low at sunset!

Depends where you're looking at it from.
Like the man in the moon. Is he upside down when viewed from Australia?

Atmospheric pollution makes the best sunsets.
Monet and Turner wouldn't have been the men they were without the Krakatoa explosion, earthquake and tsunami giving them 20 years of fabulous sunsets.
My parents used to admire the sunset over the Indian Ocean when I was eight or ten. I thought it incredibly boring of them. Yeah, yeah, I used to think, another sunset, so what, I mean?

AT your age it could be your last AC. Each one is a bonus!

Those who find the Fens a bit flat can take some pleasure from the spectacular open skies sunsets we see most nights. The new millennium sunrise was spectacular too.... rising out of the mist over rusty corrugated iron roofs of traditional bitumen painted timber sheds.

Well we don't have big hills like that.
