I hope they were all white.

"The ambulance driver wouldn’t let the female paramedic out of the ambulance because she couldn’t stop laughing, he said it wasn’t professional."
I can sympathise here...
|
Strangely enough it happened to a customer of mine. 8No. 5lt tins in the boot of the Bob Marley 530D. Brand new both the paint and the car. Yes you've guessed it. Made me soo happy as he hadn't paid his bill.
That'll learn 'em!

Those pictures paint a story...
(I must take care, as I frequently carry paint in my car)
|
I saw a Vectra estate go through the auctions where a large tin of white paint had spilled int he back.
Many laughs and sniggers from the traders.
Was it it smokey who wrote one off with creosote?

Have done this myself some years ago. Put 5 litre plastic can of Homebase emulsion on the front seat of my Ford Orion. (a Co car, I didn't chose it!). Braked rather sharply and can fell into footwell depositing contents.
Garage who replaced carpets told me it far from uncommon occurrence
|
Think they were just overcome with emulsion.......
|
In such a warm climate, why do you need a top coat?
|
You're glossing over the facts.

You should have used mat paint.
|
It amazes me how these things always bubble to the surface sooner or scraper.
|
Poor preparation negates maximum / total coverage.

the car owner knows the judge in his local court so it will all be a whitewash at trial time
|
I'd have a foul distemper if it happened to me.
|
I bet the courts make him carry the can.
|
He should have brushed up on his driving skills. Anyway, he can replace the car with a roller.
|
I've not done it with paint but I have done it with milk.
Mk ! Datsun Prairie and the carpet underlay was quite thick.
Blasted think stank of cheese for weeks.......in spite of all the perfumed unguents I pumped into it !

The Hospital reported that they were like new, - after a good rub-down!
I once knew a chap that killed someone with a piece of sandpaper! - he said he only meant to rough him up!

Done that too! Milk is worse than paint.
|
Makes me think of my written off Vectra due to creosote leakage.

I saw an Escort van in a salvage yard a few years ago, with a cracked front number plate, two smashed headlights, a slightly crinkled bonnet, and a liberal coating of GLOSS white paint all over the inside of the windscreen, the dashboard, steering wheel, in fact everywhere in the front. Now that would have been difficult to get off.

Dave_TD {P} i bought a car earlier this year with a tin of gloss paint poured over the roof and down the scuttle and onto the bonnet and wings

I bet that was the actions of a woman scorned.

My lamented - stolen in the end - early Peugeot 205 diesel had its boot lined in part with white eggshell, one of those oops, stream of obscenities moments.
A minicabbing colleague in the seventies, a Scot, described a ghastly moment in late-night Clapham. Whitish stuff suddenly appeared on his windscreen, and he reflexively turned the wipers on.
But 'naething happened! It was on the inside!'
Projectile-vomiting punters were one of the risks we ran in the halcyon days of yore, get my drift guv?

Was it Dulux, Crown or Trade?
